Battery F participates in living history at Heritage Plantation of Sandwich,MA

Battery F 1st R.I. Light Artillery, the Civil War Reenacting group of the Artillery Company of Newport, recently participated in a Living History at Heritage Plantation of Sandwich, Ma. Infantry support was provided by the 22nd Massachusetts Vol. Infantry and a small contingent of the 2nd U.S. Sharpshooters. A small group of rebel reenactors also participated. Battery F put on Artillery demonstrations and participated in small, mock battles throughout the weekend. Demonstrations of camp life were also part of the weekend including the Battery's U. S. Sanitary Commission civilians group.
